The cost for a hotel or other lodgings in Florida can get quite expensive. However, there are some things you can do to find cheap hotels in Florida, or get lower rates for the rooms you reserve.

• Visit a travel website such as Travelocity.com to locate the lowest rates for hotels. Read customer reviews and ratings to help you find great priced hotels with favorable ratings.
• Staying for more than one night in the same hotel can save you money.  Many hotels offer a night for free or other special promotion if you stay in that hotel for several nights in a row. One example is the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach. Hotel specials that can get you a 30 percent discount. Reserve a room for three nights and get the third night free. Universal Orlando also sometimes runs specials in packages where you buy three nights and get two nights free stay at certain off-site partner hotels.
• Search online for discount coupon codes that you can enter if you book a room using the Internet. There are always good deals to be found when searching travel websites and coupon sites.
• Never limit yourself to a small area when booking hotels. You are more likely to find cheap hotels if you are willing to stay a few miles away from the main tourist attractions. You can also save money if you are willing to walk a few extra blocks to the beach. 
• Stay in a hotel in the business district on the weekend. Rooms can be particularly cheap on Sunday nights.

Don’t wait until the last minute to make your hotel reservations. Give yourself enough time to search for the best rates.
